Reducing Your Waiting Time

Before Your Appointment

When you book your appointment, give the office staff everything they need to prepare. This includes your patient history if you are new to the practice. By doing this, the office staff can have your records ready and waiting when you arrive.

You can even complete and send in any necessary forms ahead of your appointment to prevent delays when you check-in.

Arriving for Your Appointment

When you arrive for your appointment, you can check in using the handy computer service or chat to a receptionist to let them know you’ve arrived. Dr. Fine will then know you’re ready and this can reduce your waiting time.

Appointments with Kids

Often, your children will need appointments throughout the school term. At Fine Orthodontist Sydney, we’re more than happy to accommodate this at before or school times as often as possible.

Early morning and late afternoon slots are reserved for shorter orthodontic visits, like adjustments and check-ups. If you or your child need braces fitting or removing, a complex adjustment, clear aligner attachment placement, or simply a thorough consultation, these can be scheduled for during the day.

We have designed our appointment schedule to help us to run on time, and ensure that most shorter appointments can be offered at the most popular times.

If you require a medical certificate for school or work, let us know ahead of time and we’ll have it waiting for you in an attempt to reduce your waiting time further.

Arriving Late

Should you run late for your appointment, but still make it within your scheduled slot, report directly to reception upon arrival. At times, you may still be able to fit in your appointment and at others, you may have to reschedule.

When You Need to Cancel

If you need to cancel your appointment, let the practice know as soon as possible. Not only will early confirmation help us reschedule at a date and time you need, but it will also help reduce overall waiting time at the practice.

If reducing time spend at appointments is important to you, our ultimate tip is to ask us about our Remote Monitoring technology.

We offer a smart phone app that lets you send in scans of your teeth, and we can let you know whether or not an appointment is necessary.

This technology is best used with clear aligner treatment.

You can chat with us easily via the app, and we can let you know if you’re ready to advance to the next aligner, meaning you can move at your own pace, and avoid unnecessary in person check ups.
