Dr Martin Fine’s Approach to Orthodontic Care

Choosing an orthodontist is a big decision, and highly personal. At Fine Orthodontist Sydney, we don’t take that trust lightly.

Dr Martin Fine is a fully qualified specialist orthodontist, based in Sydney, Australia, with a passion for combining clinical excellence with a genuinely personal approach.

Our clinic provides tailored orthodontic care for children, teens, and adults—from simple aesthetic improvements to complex bite corrections.

Whether you’re exploring treatment for yourself or your child, you deserve care that’s thoughtful, collaborative, and designed especially to meet your needs.

Here’s what makes Dr Fine’s approach different—and why so many families choose to start their smile journey with us.

1. Every Journey Starts with Listening

Dr Fine begins consultations with a detailed assessment. He takes time to understand what brought you in, what you’d like to change, and how your teeth and jaws are working together.

We know that successful treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis, and we want to get to the root cause of your orthodontic problem.

Dr Fine will examine your smile and bite, as well as (where indicated) arrange 3D digital scans to inform a personalised treatment plan.

2. No “One Size Fits All” Treatment Solutions

Every smile is different—and so is every treatment.

We keep an open mind regarding the different orthodontic systems available.

Dr Fine recommends approaches that best suit your unique goals, lifestyle, and dental health. Whether it’s braces, clear aligners like Invisalign® or Fineline®, or a combination, we work together to find what fits.

This means:

  • No pressure to choose one option over another.
  • Honest conversations about pros and cons.
  • Clear explanations, so you’re confident in your choice.

Our patients receive care that suits them.

3. Specialist Expertise You Can Trust

Orthodontics is all we do—and we do it with purpose.

Dr Martin Fine completed several years of full-time additional training beyond a general dental degree, qualifying as a specialist orthodontist.

This training focuses specifically on how teeth move, how bites develop, and how to guide facial growth. This is knowledge that general dentists don’t typically cover in depth.

Dr. Fine continues to expand his knowledge through ongoing education, international conferences, and collaboration with colleagues.

When you choose Fine Orthodontist Sydney, you’re choosing specialist-level care from someone who truly understands the science behind your smile.

4. Technology That Serves You

Dr Fine loves technology—but only when it improves your experience or outcome.

Fine Orthodontist Sydney uses 3D scanning, digital planning, and remote monitoring to streamline your treatment.

We offer the option of our own on-site aligner system, FineLine® with a range of benefits to consider. We’ve also added a Memory Shape technology option to our aligners.

Our clinic has the ability to manage aligner production onsite, so changes can be made quickly—no long waits or third-party delays.

Everything we have on offer has been chosen carefully—not just because it’s new, but because it offers benefits to our patients.

We also offer well-known aligners like Invisalign® and Spark so you can choose what suits you best!

Note: These products are not available for purchase by the general public. Always follow the directions for use.

5.  Your Smile – The Bigger Picture

Dr Fine plans every case with both bite mechanics and facial balance in mind.

He considers how your teeth fit together, how your jaw moves, and how your smile fits within the rest of your face—from every angle, not just front-on.

This reflects Dr Fine’s philosophy that orthodontics is more than just straight teeth – it also includes enhancing your overall oral health.

This kind of thoughtful planning ensures that:

  • Your smile feels as good as it looks.
  • Results are long-lasting, not just short-term fixes.
  • Your treatment will support your overall facial harmony, not just individual tooth positions.

At Fine Orthodontist Sydney we don’t just straighten teeth—we help build stable, functional smiles that last.

6. Early Intervention—When It’s the Right Choice

For younger patients, early orthodontic care can sometimes prevent bigger issues later.

Dr Fine offers early intervention only when it’s truly beneficial—not because of a trend or industry pressure.

He evaluates each child individually, taking the time to explain whether early care will help or if it’s better to wait.

This ensures families can make informed decisions, based on what’s best for their child.

7. Collaboration for Better Outcomes

Great care is rarely delivered in isolation.

Dr Fine regularly collaborates with general dentists, paediatric dentists, oral surgeons, and other specialists when needed.

Our clinic values open communication with your broader healthcare team, because aligned treatment means better results.

Whether your case is simple or complex, you benefit from a connected approach—guided by professionals who respect one another’s expertise.

8. An Experience You’ll Enjoy

Orthodontic treatment can take time, and Dr Fine believes the journey should be a positive one.

Our team creates a warm, welcoming space where patients feel comfortable and supported.

Dr Fine believes orthodontics works best when patients feel involved and cared for. We take time to answer questions, celebrate milestones, and build genuine relationships.
